I was worried about the quality of the product after two reviews showing the wok in terrible state after first use. It seems those reviews are from people who don’t know how to use and care for iron pans. This is a true carbon steel wok of decent quality (confirmed iron by using a magnet). Gets hot fast and works well, but the handle is loose and requires glue to properly stay in place. Pictures are from the wok after being used once for dinner. No oil applied after cleaning, as you can see it looks perfectly fine and has normal wearing from use. I also included a picture from my cast iron that has been in use for nearly a year several times a week. It will last as long as you take proper care of it. If not for the loose handle and weird varnish smell, I would have given it 5 stars.
